Tier 1 - 1 Semester Program

By the end of Tier 1, participants will be able to:

  • Perform duct system repairs and installations.

  • Install and configure residential and light commercial HVAC systems.

  • Apply thermodynamic principles in real-world HVAC applications.

  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and installation.

  • Understand the refrigeration cycle and its importance in HVAC operations.

  • Evaluate indoor air quality and implement effective ventilation strategies.

  • Conduct load calculations and energy assessments.

  • Perform energy audits and apply clean energy principles to improve system efficiency.

  • Follow safety guidelines for HVAC installations and repairs.

This program equips participants with key certifications and hands-on experience in HVAC system installation, repair, energy audits, and load calculations, preparing them for entry-level roles in the HVAC field while promoting clean energy and energy efficiency. Tier 1 lays a solid foundation for career advancement and future specialization in the HVAC industry.

S.T.A.R.T.E.R Program - Year Long Program

By the end of the S.T.A.R.T.E.R. program, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance for residential, light commercial, and commercial/industrial applications.

  • Obtain key industry certifications, including OSHA 30, NATE, Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, and more.

  • Conduct energy audits and perform load calculations and energy assessments to optimize system performance and efficiency.

  • Apply safety protocols in compliance with industry standards to ensure personal and workplace safety during HVAC operations.

  • Utilize tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and repair, demonstrating hands-on skills in real-world settings.

  • Interpret and apply thermodynamic principles to enhance understanding of heat transfer and energy efficiency in HVAC systems.

  • Understand indoor air quality standards and implement effective ventilation strategies to improve environmental health.

  • Develop entrepreneurial skills and a business mindset, including project management and customer service skills, to thrive in the HVAC industry.

  • Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with industry partners and demonstrating communication and leadership abilities.
